2016 Petite Sirah
Petite Sirah is a mystery: a cross of Syrah pollen with Peloursin flowers. Peloursin is an ancient grape, found minimally in Southern Rhone today. The cross occurred in the lab of French botanist Francois Durif. Sometimes Petite Sirah is known as Durif. Winemaker Bruce McGuire sources 100% of our 2016 Petite Sirah from Thompson Vineyard in Alisos Canyon, the newest AVA in Santa Barbara County.
