2017 Grenache/Syrah
Thompson Vineyard
Grapes for our 2017 Grenache/Syrah were sourced from the Thompson Vineyard in Alisos Canyon, a cool-climate area. In cooler climates, both Grenache and Syrah develop spice in their flavor profiles, and the result is a wine with everything: fruit, body, complexity, ever-evolving. The blend is 67% Grenache and 33% Syrah. Grenache provides the red fruit flavors while Syrah provides dark fruit and depth.

Winemaker Notes
Thompson Vineyard is an excellent red wine vineyard located in Alisos Canyon, north of Los Alamos. It is well known for Rhone varietals, so the opportunity to make a Grenache/Syrah from Thompson Vineyard was too good to pass up.
