2022 Rosé of Pinot Noir

2022 Rosé of Pinot Noir
Sta. Rita Hills

Winemaker Bruce McGuire uses Pinot Noir grapes from Lafond Vineyard and Burning Creek Ranch for the Sta. Rita Hills Rosé.

Lafond Vineyard is ideally situated to produce Pinot Noir exhibiting the unique and exotic flavor profile one finds in only a few regions of the world. Specific areas within our vineyard exhibit elevated concentration and complexity due to soil type and exposure to the elements.

Burning Creek Ranch produces bright fruit with fully-developed flavors. These vines are grown across a blend of river deposited soils from the Santa Ynez River. The delicate Pinot Noir grapes benefit from morning fog and consistent offshore breeze. This wine retains its bright high-tones as it is fermented in stainless steel.

Tasting Notes
Our 2022 Rosé of Pinot Noir is a vibrant, deep pink color. This brightly acidic and balanced Rosé has incredible aromas of watermelon juice and raspberry with fresh cut strawberries and minerality on the palate. A very easy-drinking wine that can be enjoyed all year round.
Vineyard Notes
92% Lafond Vineyard & 8% Burning Creek Vineyard Sta. Rita Hills AVA
Production Notes
100% stainless steel at cool temperatures
Winemaker Notes
The clonal selection for this vintage is as always spontaneous. This year's Rose of Pinot Noir is composed of 8% Clone 667 (Burning Creek), 18% clone 777 and 47% Pommard clone (Lafond Vineyard). The fruit is destemmed with overnight skin contact prior to pressing which produces a slightly more saturated wine.
Food Pairing Notes
Seared salmon salad, Mediterranean cuisine, Burrata cheese with strawberries
