2019 Pinot Noir
Sta. Rita Hills
Sta. Rita Hills has achieved national acclaim for the region's Pinot Noirs. It's a finicky grape. While warm days and cool nights are essential for Pinot's development, its delicacy is maintained by a daily layer of maritime fog which protects it from frost or penetrating sunlight.
Pinot Noir is very important to Santa Barbara Winery. We have many blocks planted on varied soils at our Lafond Vineyard. Santa Barbara Winery bottles three different Pinot Noirs.

The 2019 Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir has a rich ruby color with aromas of raspberry and ripe cherry. Subtle notes of cedar are just behind the fruit. Medium-bodied and well-balanced, cherry pie and sweet tobacco cross the palate for a smooth, lingering finish.
