The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon is dark ruby in color with aromas of blackberry and smashed peppercorns. On the palate you'll find ripe fruit, herbs, spices and mild oak. With tannic balance and a berry-driven finish, each sip begs another.

The two Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards (Star Lane & McGinley) in this vintage are located about a mile and a half apart at the top of Happy Canyon. This is the warmest appellation in Santa Barbara County and very well-suited for Bordeaux varieties. Star Lane Vineyard grapes have more structure and density while McGinley Vineyard grapes are more fragrant and supple - resulting in a complete version of Happy Canyon Cabernet Sauvignon.
